Duane certainly loaded me up on Blue Jays mini's.
David Eckstein's career as a Blue Jay is somewhat hazy & mostly unremarkable. His stint here is probably most remembered for his collision with second baseman Aaron Hill, which would leave Hill badly concussed. Eckstein was on the team at somewhat of a weird time. He'd been brought in as a free agent by previous GM, J.P. Ricciardi & when manager John Gibbons was fired, new/old manager Cito Gaston didn't seem enthused about penciling Eckstein into the lineup. The 'X Factor' was traded not long after Gaston arrived.
Holy Awesomeness!
Can we just fast forward to Spring Training already? Hot Stove season is cool & all but seeing these mini's just makes me yearn for The Real Season all over again.
Thanks for the trade Duane!
