Let's see what Series 3 of 89' Topps Big has to offer:
Hiyo! Shaker Mo. Let's look at the back & see what's what.
Whoa. The Origin of 'The Shaker'. A great mystery is revealed. Cool beans.
Card #243 - Mike Flanagan.Longtime Oriole great. Rest in peace Sir.
Card #274 - Jeffrey Mark Robinson.I like that the card backs feature middle names. I'm sure that's not an uncommon thing...at all - but my brain won't tell me where I've seen it before. Eighties Donruss maybe?
Card #308 - Edward Robert Wood.A U.S. Olympian. Teddy here was drafted in the 1st Round of the 1988 amateur draft by the San Francisco Giants. He would play three seasons in The Bigs, two with San Fran & one with the Expos.
Card #296 - Michael James Boddicker.Another pitcher that I associate more with the Orioles than the team depicted here.
Last card coming up!.....SUSPENSE!

What's neat about Topps Big is that they are the exact same size as 1952 to 1956 Topps cards. I believe these sets were to resemble the cards of that era, with the full and middle names and the cartoons and such.
I have at least one Blue Jay from the 1988 Topps Big set, Jeff Musselman. I'll through it in with the Wells jersey card.I may be able to find some others also.
Ted - I didn't know that. That's interesting & now that I look at them, they do sorta resemble those cards from the 50's.
Jack - I'll be sure to include some other nice Tribe cards with the K. Wood. Mr. Andy Allanson here will no doubt be showing up at your door!
